From: MRI and CT imaging characteristics in parotid tumors with false-negative fine-needle aspirations

CT axial image of a 61-year-old female. An irregularly shaped, ill-defined lesion about 1.0Â cm in size was identified in the superficial lobe of the left parotid gland. There was no evidence of invasion into surrounding structures. Preoperative FNA results indicated a Warthin tumor. The patient underwent a left partial parotidectomy and the final postoperative histopathological diagnosis was mucoepidermoid carcinoma
