CAD/CAM fabrication of splints. The virtual modification of the registration (left) and intermediate splints (right) was performed using Autodesk Meshmixer freeware. Boolean subtraction of a cylindrical shape created indentations of the required depth and diameter. Four indentations were applied to the registration splint, distributed along its vertical axis, while five indentations were added to the intermediate splint, positioned at the first upper molars, canine tips and incisal point.
